House Democrats have declared an 'Anti-Crypto Corruption Week' to oppose Republican-backed digital asset bills and highlight alleged misconduct involving former President Donald Trump. Representatives Stephen Lynch and Maxine Waters are spearheading the effort, targeting three crypto-related bills they claim would enable financial malfeasance and benefit TRUMP personally.

The CLARITY Act faces particular scrutiny, with Democrats arguing it erodes federal oversight of digital assets and creates regulatory loopholes. Nearly 30 Democratic amendments aimed at strengthening consumer protections and preventing conflicts of interest were rejected during committee markup, setting the stage for a contentious legislative battle.
